I Can't Believe I'm Posting This On The Internet

Alternately titled: "My 30 Day Shred Results"

Yesterday I hit 30 days straight with the lovely Jillian Michaels as my trainer (via her DVD of course). I have to say I am really glad I stuck with it. I have real muscles. I don't feel like I'm 90 years old after walking up 5 flights of stairs. My asthma is more under control. I'm not winded after a long bike ride (or marathon sex). I could take Jillian Michaels in a fight. OK, maybe not that last one.

I took pictures at the beginning thinking maybe I would post them with after photos. I debated last night and said to myself "Really? Do you really want to post a picture of yourself in a sports bra ON THE INTERNET?!"

But I really, truly believe in this workout plan. I may not have knock-you-out-of-your-seats results. But I have results. After only 30 days. And to me, that's saying something.

Results:
-4 lbs.
-1.5" around waist
-1.25" around hips
-.5" around upper thighs
::I can button a pair of capris I couldn't even fit into last summer
::Yes, I've been "fake and baking" for my upcoming Florida trip
::Yes, that is the same outfit, 30 days later :)





Along with the 30 Day Shred workout, I followed a healthier meal plan: ate a lot of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and organic foods; no fried or fast food; cut down on dairy, enriched flour and processed sugar; increased my protein and fiber intake; and drank lots of water.

[Not saying that there wasn't one Saturday I may have indulged in a large scoop of peanut butter, caramel and chocolate ice cream, but let's just keep that between us.]

So, if you're looking for a workout that you can fit into your day and get results, I would definitely recommend it. I plan on continuing it for another 30 days in fact! Except today. Today, I'm taking a day off in celebration :)

i have been doing strength training/toning for a couple of years now and i absolutely love the results - not at all bulky but totally defined and strong looking.

Congrats! I started the Shred a couple months ago, but only did it like 7 times. After seeing your results, I'm inspired to start it again. Your abs are awesome!

The former dairy princess in me agrees with Katyn... don't ditch dairy! :)

Congrats on the progress! I've been "shredding" for a few months now but only a few times a week. I went through all the levels once and have started over with heavier weights. I can notice a huge difference. I love the last (or second to last) ab exercise on level 3, I think it's called the superman, maybe. Anyway, I think that is the reason we've seen our love handles disappearing!

Now *that* is awesome! If only I didn't have to move lots of furniture and if only our floors didn't shake when I jump, I'd most certainly have stuck with Jillian for more than a week. You look fab, girl!

That is awesome! Your results are great, so glad you posted the pics :) I think you're not obvious on appearance results are also great, because boy does your stamina benefit from some exercise. Jillian kicks my butt, hope I have some good results to show as well :)

YAY congrats! I think I need to check out this DVD. It obviously works!

And speaking of peanut butter...if you are a fellow pb addict, there is an amazing product called Better N Peanut Butter that you can get at Trader Joe's or Giant Eagle. It's a little sweeter than normal pb but it only has 2 grams of fat per serving.

did you alternate between levels 1-3? how did you structure the workout?

This is awesome. I have heard from several friends that 30 Day Shred is incredible - but hadn't been around when they started/finished it and couldn't see the dramatic results. Your pics are great! I am definitely going to look into getting started with this! Thanks for the inspiration!

Seeing this is so encoraging. Im on level 2. did u do each level for 30 days. i know some people do it different but ive been doing it for 10 days each level and level 2 is hard i can just imagine level 3. but so far ive seen results. ive dropped 9lbs n 1 pants size. I feel stonger n healthier. Way to go u look awesome!
