I Am One Crafty Bitch

(Thanks to Each.)

I told Each last week that I was looking for something to hold all of my earrings, because it was sort of difficult to find a specific pair of earrings quickly when my jewelry box looked like this:

She described to me over gChat how her sister had made one out of cork board, fabric and some ribbon. We then declared "Michelle & Each Get Crafty" weekend: we would both tackle the project and post the end results today to share with all of you. We're nice like that.

Brown & teal to match my bedroom of course:

A close-up:

The beginnings of my next crafty project (finished product to be revealed next week if all goes well):

But don't worry, I'm not turning into an old woman - I had some fun this weekend too! Here's proof:

That is so clever! I'm going to see if Each has any solutions for necklaces..... :)

Very nice Michelle! Looks like a perfect solution. Love the colours too!

Cuuute! I did something like that with my earrings, but I was lazy and attached some ribbon to a wire cooling rack and hung it on my wall, haha.

I love the earring idea, I've got to do something about my growing accesorries problem!

And nothing wrong with knitting. I do it all winter long. If I had a rocking chair, I might fear for myself a little :)

Very crafty - looks like something in a storefront!

I wear the same earrings all the time because I get lazy digging around my jewelry box.

Every since they opened that $2 for 3 pair earing place by my house, I've been off the chain!! I have got to copy this idea!!!

Any ideas for bracelets??

You and Clancy make a great couple.

that is so cute! i made an 8 x 10 picture frame into an earring holder a couple of years back by taking the glass out and putting in gridded wire i got from the hardware store. it's been fantastic!! but i love yours!

First, this is the first time I have been to your blog after your name has been all up in my grill on every blogroll in life.

Second, crafty bitches is possibly the best series title ever. I told Each the same thing.

Third, thank you for being so awesome as to have my favourite Billy Joel song posted.

The end.

I love your earring holder ... for the craftiness AND for reminding me of my favorite colors I covered up in my condo. Yes, I used to have chocolate brown walls with a blue accent wall ... but, had to "neutralize" it to put it up for sale. So sad!

I love being crafty. I have a similar idea for my earrings but it involves mesh from a screen. I'll have to post photos when I'm done. :)

I LOVE the yarn for the unnamed project that I know the name of. If you need help with the finishings let me know. We can get together this week and work it out.

I need one. I use a silly little saucer that is a big tangled mess. But anything more than a glue stick is too complicated for me!

I LOVE the earring board! And that you have such cute taste in earrings ;)

Glad to hear the crafts still left some time for fun!

That's an adorable earring holder! I may have to make one myself--it's so handy!

Also--I knit as well, so don't feel too old. :)

Um... Yum! said...

That is such a cool idea for the earrings. It turned out very nice.

The yarn you are using is a lot like the yarn I am currently using to make a baby afghan. :o)
