As Close To Perfection As One Can Get

The perfect outfit: Low-cut, tight fitting top; dark, butt hugging jeans; and a sexy pair of heels

The perfect meal: Steak, cooked medium well; mashed potatoes; corn on the cob; cheesecake for dessert

The perfect hangover cure: Greasy McDonald's french fries; 3 Advil; and a tall glass of water before bed

The perfect road trip: Niagara Falls

The perfect facial feature: Piercing blue eyes. And a stunning smile to boot.

The perfect drink: Cranberry vodka with lime

The perfect song: Great Big Sea - "When I'm Up I Can't Get Down"

The perfect sign of affection: An arm wrapped around my waist, holding me close.

The perfect afternoon: Weather permitting of course- reading a good book in a lounge chair on the patio; catching some rays; a glass of iced tea within arm's reach.

The perfect vacation: Ireland

The perfect invention: DVR

The perfect type of wedding: An intimate destination wedding

The perfect album: John Mayer - Room For Squares

The perfect accent: Irish (think Gerry's character in P.S. I Love You)

The perfect date: Staying in for a movie marathon, eating popcorn and snuggling under a blanket together.

The perfect weather: A breezy but sunny 70 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky.

The perfect party: Costume

The perfect sport: Tonsil hockey. What? I hate sports.

The perfect thing to say: "You're beautiful."

The perfect day of the week: Saturday

Care to share what you would consider "as close to perfection as one can get"?

Thanks Tiff for the post idea!

Costume parties are definitely my favourite too! And "Room for Squares" was pretty brilliant. Also? You have Great Big Sea on here. As a Canadian, I love you for that!

Michelle, this is adorable. I really enjoyed reading this. And your hangover cure similarly mimics mine!

Oh and your perfect outfit closely resembles mine.

I am in total agreement with you on a bunch of these and total disagreement on others. For example, I like my steak rare and I love almost all sports. But tonsil hockey still might be my favorite!

Girl, I couldn't agree more! The "perfect afternoon" made me swoon and long for summer in this miserable -8 degrees here in STL.

So, have you been to Ireland? I only ask because I hope to go within the next year or so.

Tonsil hockey! Hahahahaha! I'd forgotten about that particular sport (hard to fathom, since I lettered in it in high school...)

Great list :)

I totally agree with most of your perfect things (except the McDonald's because I hate McDonald's). But cranberry vodka? YUM.

Perfect day at work: One with minimal interruption so I can read all my favorite blogs.

Room for Squares by John Mayer is my favorite album of all time...by ANY artist!

I love this post idea...I just may have to 'borrow' it! :)

Perfect Text Message: "I have a 2-for-1 coupon at Starbucks. Want something?" (from my assistant before work!)

I'm with you on the irish accent. My idea of perfection right now would be lying on a beach in the canary islands with a lovely trashy book to read.

swaaaan said...

ugh. steak should ALWAYS be cooked medium RARE. You're from the midwest! You should know this.

The Smarter Princess said...

Greasy food is THE perfect hangover cure!

Cute list!

the perfect night out with friends: dinner at a fav restaurant, followed by drunk (well, tipsy) bowling, then a drink at our fav bar to make an appearance, ending the night with my place to just chill.

corny? ehhh maybe. but it's ultra fun for some laidback togetherness.

I agree on perfect thing to say. and I may steal this.

I don't think words can express how much I love theme parties. I think every party we hosted in college had a theme of some sort (usually involving ridiculous costumes). I might have to post about that someday, haha.

dvr IS the perfect invention! Awesome post. totally stealing it. u rock. thnks ;)

Greasy French fries after a night of drinking? Throw in a bagel dripping with egg and cheese and butter and I'm good to go. :)

The perfect hangover cure for me is no less than three glasses of water before bed, then a fried egg on top of cheese, bacon and toast. Plus a couple ibuprofen.

Janet said...

I totally agree with your wedding one, not that I'm biased or anything :)
