A Walking Contradiction

I believe in lasting love, but am convinced I'll never find it myself.

I am a registered democrat, but tolerable of guns and the death penalty and wary about unions and universal health care.

I am the daughter of a banker, but often spend frivolously and haven't balanced my checkbook in quite awhile.

I graduated summa cum laude from college, but only scored an 1120 on my SATs.

I am offended when others don't trust me, but find it hard to trust the guys I'm dating.

I want to see the world and crave adventure, but have only been on a plane once.

I am a hard-core Mac lover, but spend most of my time on a PC.

I was voted as having the best big blog on 20-something bloggers, then promptly dropped off the face of the internet for months with little desire to blog at all.

I act and feel confident about myself (sometimes even cocky) when I meet someone new, but can very easily lose all of that confidence at one fell swoop.

And most definitively:
I choose to wear my heart on my sleeve, but adhere it with super glue and avoid anything that has even the slightest chance of tearing it off.

Great list! I can check off about half of them as well.
The politics one is always a hard hitter, I too am a registered Dem and consider myself pretty freakin Liberal, but yeah, I support the death penalty, etc. But I sure can't say I'll ever vote Republican on principle.

I can totally identify with the one about trust. And the last one too!!!

As for the politics one, I don't think any of us are one hundred percent going to agree with a particular party's policies, whether we are on their side or not! :)

There's nothing wrong with dropping off the blogosphere once in a while :) And I definitely agree with the last one.

Agreed- great post. One day I'll steal it, but today I'm feeling totally boring and not at all contradictory.

The first time I ever climbed on a plane was to sky dive.

Even though I've blogged for approximately 3 years I still worry that this might just be one of my crazy phases.

we all contradict ourselves all the time, no one can be 100% anything - besides that would be boring, lol.

I'm registered as a dem, but there a few things where I lean to the right. I just couldn't be registered as an R because of their stance on many social issues.

It's okay to wear your heart on your sleeve and keep it protected. Only the right guy will be able to un-adhere it. (Is that a word? Un-adhere? Well whatever, you get the point haha.)

Also, I hate this PC with such a passion. I would like to throw it in the rain and bring my Mac to work instead.
