Giving Thanks

Well, it's the time of year when all the Pilgrims gather together with the Indians and give thanks for the great food offered to them and also for the Mayflower that allowed them to steal the land from the natives.

What am I thankful for this year?

I have somewhere to spend Thanksgiving. There are so many people who have lost touch with loved ones, no longer speak to their family or simply can't make it home for the holidays. I am one of the lucky ones.

I have a wonderful family to spend it with. Sure we're not the Brady Bunch, but we make each other laugh. My brother might pull my hair and I'm sure my cousin will put my brother in a headlock at some point, but we love each other. Really, we do.

I have friends (new and old!) that support me 100%. Even though the last month was the hardest part of my life, it was also the most uplifting. I realized that even though life had gotten in the way of some of my friendships, when I needed them most they were all right there beside me. (Helping me rack up my $527 phone bill this month!) I hope all of you know that I would be there for each of you at the drop of a hat. No questions asked.

I have a great place to live. There are so many Americans without a roof over their heads. I'm so thankful I found this wonderful place when I did. It was the last condo left and I was lucky to snag it! My mom was a HUGE help with everything and my dad is helping me with bills until things get back to normal again. Thank god I have the understanding parents that I do and that they have the means to help me through this hard time.

I enjoy blogging and all that comes along with it. Seriously? 85 comments? Thanks you guys. It has really helped having this "little" blogging community here by my side through all of this. Getting it all out has been an interesting therapy for me - and has also saved me a ton of money in the long run! And also having those friendships transfer into real life! Meeting Kari last night for happy hour was awesome, cheers to new friends!

I get to see THESE LOVELY LADIES in T minus 7 hours! A night on the town with some of the best friends I will ever have is just what the doctor ordered! Booze, boys and booty shaking!

What are you guys thankful for?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! (And I'll see you on Monday)

So is partying on the night before Thanksgiving a big tradition there? It is here in STL. Unfortunately, I'll be cleaning like Cinderella.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving (although I wish we did cause I would kill for a long weekend right about now) but I'll play along. Right now, I am thankful for my nephew who can make the worst work day melt away by his serious look and the way he says "da da dadda dada" as if he's giving me some inspirational speech!

You have a great thanksgiving!

Great list! Making a list of things you're thankful for really helps to put things in perspective about what's important, doesn't it?

So... that's cool, it is a small world. I just showed my finance (matt kinzig) the picture off all your girls and he said he recognized most of them. He's really good friends with Nate, Justin Blanchard, and so on. Did you go to Nate's going away party or Ponatowski-Palooza? We miss nate... Matt just talked to him tonight, actually. Timmy was out there. Do you know Tim too? (Salmon?)

Matt says you would probably recognize him by face but not neccesarily by name.
