Seriously?

I mean come on.

  • My DVR is empty. And no I didn't clear it out by watching them all in one night. The shows? They're GONE.
  • The models on Deal or No Deal make more money in one month than I do in a year. And they're only working 1 or 2 days. The entire month. And they get to wear amazing clothes. And shoes.
  • I waited in line to pick up my prescriptions at the Walmart pharmacy last night for A HALF HOUR. This happens every time I go. Please remind me why I keep shopping there? Oh, that's right. I spend about half of what I do on groceries when I shop there rather than a chain grocery store.
  • My Google Reader has been at 1000+ for what seems like forever. I keep lingering over the 'mark all as read' button so I can start fresh.
  • Speaking of Google Reader, I post in the morning and it doesn't show up until after I get home from work most days. Does anyone know how I can fix that? It's really annoying.
  • It was in the high 60s on Monday. 60s. Temperatures have since plummeted into the twenties. And we're in for a huge snow storm this weekend.
  • Said snow storm might hinder me from visiting my grandmother in the hospital(in Erie). She fell and broke both of her legs and has to have surgery. I am going to be really upset if I can't make it up this weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts.

It doesn't feel like Friday.

Will you cheer me up? Tell me a joke?

Sorry for the super bitchy post. At least it's been awhile.

I've seriously considered just dropping out of school and becoming a DonD model, so I can see where you're coming from.

My favorite joke:
Q: Why did the pilgrims' pants always fall down?
A: Because they wore their belt buckles on their hats!

Ha ha!

Wait... how much do those girls make?

Google Reader hates me too. It doesn't show up till like 4 hours later and it bugs me.

Will keep you and your grandma in my thoughts. Love you!

I hope everything goes well for your grandma! It sounds like you're having a rough day.

Here's my joke:
Q: Why was Tigger looking in the toilet?
A: He was trying to find Pooh.

HA!

Sorry...I live with a toddler, and that's all I got for today. ;)

Best wishes to your grandmother for as quick a recovery as possible. I hope the weather cooperates for your visit...

My favorite lightbulb joke ever ever ever:
Q: How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Blue dolphin.

I know! All the shows are gone!

And I'm wishing your grandmother well, sweety!

Yeah, Google reader gives us all grief. It's the friend you love and hate.

Yep Google Reader can take forever to show a new post... I'm not sure you can do anything about that.

As for your 1,000+ problem you really need to get a better system. I know a lot of people, myself included have numbered folders with my fave blogs in number 1 and so on. I always read those in the top couple of folders, but when I'm busy sometimes the lower folders just get the 'mark all as read' treatment.

I think getting stressed, miserable about a keeping up with something which is supposed to be enjoyable is daft.

And I thought I was overwhelmed with my 200 in my reader every week. I always end up reading about 25 then mark all as read so i can start over. But then I don't.

I hope your weekend is much better. I'm so sorry about your Grandma, I hope she gets better and you get to see her. xoxo

I think that Google Reader has become so popular that it lags now :)

And I hope your granny is doing well! That's terrible news.

Also-I have tons of Cheetos today :)

how much do the models make?? we've had weather like yours too...60s and 70s all week and tomorrow the high will be 40. sigh. i hope your grandma gets better soon, and i hope you're able to go see her!

Sorry to read about your grandmother, I hope she has a speedy recovery!! and FYI- it's always better to have brains and be pretty than to be paid to just stand there looking stupid and be pretty. :-)

Um, I don't meant to bust your bubble, but ... isn't Walmart a chain? Yeah, I thought so. That place is the devil.

Google Reader does take forever to update. I have experienced the same problem. (Though, magically, with my own blog, it posts almost immediately. WTF?!).

Sending thoughts and prayers to your grandmother. Hope you get to see her.

I have no joke, I have to sit in about 6 hours of online training today, starting in a half hour. I agree with your mood.

I don't think this post is particularly bitchy. Or at least, I would be at least as bitchy if those things had happened to me.

Google Reader has been really slow in general, but I've noticed that your posts seem to take the longest to show up. I don't know why. I hope it gets fixed soon.

Weather sucks! I'm really sorry about your grandmother. She's in my prayers.

I have a feeling that its not a problem of the reader, but the way Blogger publishes your feeds. It might be doing a lazy publish, in which it publishes every few hours.

I had noticed that delay when I was on blogger, and then it went away when I moved to Wordpress. You should switch too!

Lisa said...

Sometimes mine take like, 12 hours. It's stupid. Sometimes they take 20 minutes. It's stupid.

Also SRSLY, the models make that much? Hmmm... this is a viable career option.

i think its good to get out the bitchy early on a friday so you can enjoy the day! Venting is necessary :P

I'm sorry about your grandmother michelle - that sucks. I hope you can get out here. It is supposed to be awful (see my post) weather wise here. As much as you want to come out be safe.

If you are here maybe we can see each other for a bit.

and what the crap about your dvr??? i'd be so upset.

also, i get your posts pretty quickly after you post them usually.

just do it. mark all as read. do it. its very liberating.

Poor Grandma! Ouch.

I have the same issue with Google Reader... sometimes my posts show up right away, sometimes they take FOREVER.

Sorry about your Gramma.

Here's my joke.

A guy walked into a bar.

It hurt.

Anonymous said...

I don't even use my reader anymore. I just go down my blogroll and though my internet favorites. Much easier.

B said...

No need for apologies. We're all allowed to vent.

And seriously? The google reader thing? Happens to me ALL the time! ACH!

I also agree with Rebecca. Mark All As Read! Do it!

I'll definitely keep your grams in my thoughts. Good luck with getting out there, hon.

Here's a joke. It's a little bit dirty:

A man gives blood to save his girlfriend, they break up and he says he wants it all back. She hands him a tampon and says I'll pay you monthly, Bitch!

Lol, sorry it's gross but I found it hilarious.

Very bad, disgusting joke (consider yourself warned):

Two hobos are sitting around a campfire talking.

Hobo 1: I had the best day EVER.

Hobo 2: Really? What happened?

Hobo 1: Well, first I found a half-eaten sandwich and ate it. Then I found a half-drunk beer and drank it. Then I found a half-smoked cigarette and smoked it.

Hobo 2: That does sound pretty great.

Hobo 1: That's not even the best part. The best part is I found a woman tied to the railroad tracks. I untied her and we had wild sex all afternoon.

Hobo 2: Really? That's AWESOME! Did she give good head?

Hobo 1: Head? I didn't find her head.

Oh man! I am so sorry to hear about your grams! I will keep her in my prayers.

Here's a stupid joke for you.
A drunk man walked into a bar. He was soooo drunk that the bartender said "Sir, I'm sorry I can't serve you anymore". The man replied with "If I wuuzzz soooo drunnk then would I be ablles to see that one eyeed cat coming through tha door?".

To that the bartender replied "Sir. That cat is leaving".

Buh dum bum ding!

Now you can smile. And tell someone else a horrible, stupid joke.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma, I hope she is recovers soon.

I feel you on the walmart thing, though the amount of humans there on any given day is enough to send me to a regular grocery store-for peace of mind.

okay on the joke: My boss' grandson was just born yesterday and someone got him a "if I'd known grandchildren were going to be this much fun, I would have had them first" T-shirt.

Cheesy I know.
Take care.

We can unite in our hatred of the DVR and Wal-Mart--why do we keep going back!!

I hope your grandma heals up very soon and that you can fit in a visit!

Google reader really has been cracked out lately, you are not alone.

And hope your grandma is okay and weather permits the travel.

So sorry about your grandma! I talked to two of my grandmas and my grandpa yesterday. I know how upset I would be if something like that happened to them. :(

Isn't that just the worst feeling when your DVR lets you down? you feel all empty and sad inside. :)

Lacey Bean said...

I'll tell you a joke that I thought was AWESOME when I was like 7:

What do you get when you mix a cat, and lemonade?

SOURPUSS! Hahahaha.

Ok it was funnier then.

And good vibes to you and your grandma!!

HAHA, who's the baby daddy? We just don't know...

The google reader has been doing that same thing to me lately too. And it's not fun writing and having like, no response at all, for hours at a time. I wish I had the answer. If you figure it out please do let me know, lovey.

My contribution to cheering you up was my friday playlist. And I'm so tickled you liked it.

I would DIE if my dvr was erased. DIE. DIE I TELL YOU.

It's okay to mark all as read. It really is. We will all still love and adore you.

happy weekend, gorgeous.

Oh your poor grandmother! I will def be thinking about her.

As for the snow, they keep telling us we are going to get 5 inches. I am not holding my breathe.

omg. that has got to suck. idk what i'd do without my tv shows.
