I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

What do I do when my love is away.
(Does it worry you to be alone)
How do I feel by the end of the day
(Are you sad because you're on your own)
No, I get by with a little help from my friends,
Mmm I get high with a little help from my friends,
Mmm I'm gonna to try with a little help from my friends

The Beatles always have a way of lifting my spirits, but more importantly, so do my friends.

I hit a huge bump in the road yesterday, and was surprised to find solace in an unexpected friend. Not that I didn't think she was fabulous already, but for someone that I recently met to show such compassion, and open up her home to me was so uplifting. Not only did she deal with my blubbering/nonsensical downpour, but she made me laugh - helping to restore faith in myself. I have always been afraid I wasn't the 'befriending' type. Especially after college and my move from Erie to C-bus, it has been so hard meeting new people. So, thank you. Thank you T for being there. You are nothing less than genuine.

Edit: And of course I look forward to reading/commenting with my new found blogging friends to lift my spirits. They always make me laugh and put a smile on my face - onebigholiday - I'll listen to your jokes any day :)

Cheers to that. It is always good when you get that unexpected little bit more from someone-- I always have my few great friends who I know I can rely on, but when someone else steps up to the plate, it's a great feeling.
