Paint By Number

So in lieu of posting something with substance, I instead ask you all to step into the shoes of an interior designer and HELP A SISTA OUT! Any colors jump out at you? Trying to pick colors for: office, doggie room (guest bedroom 2), and/or guest bathroom. I'm thinking maybe yellow for the bathroom to brighten up the small space, but I'm not sure Clance will go for sunshine on the walls. I've narrowed it down.... a bit.

To help set the scene:

LIVING ROOM & KITCHEN COLOR

STAIRWELL & HALLWAY COLOR

GUEST BEDROOM #1 COLOR

I like wild honey. I wonder where they come up with the names for paint colors...

Oooh wild honey and pale sunshine!

I want the job of coming up with those names.

I'm thinking you DEFINITELY need some yellow with those other colors.
I'm trying to think of what else if he won't go for the Pale Sunshine or even the Downy (Not exactly yellow, but still light), but I'm just stuck on the yellowish colors.

I would go with Pale Sunshine - perfect match as Beccalyn said. Or.. perhaps the Honey as an alternative?

I'm not much help because I like them all :D

You could always just tell him that the real name for Pale Sunshine is Sturdy Jockstrap.

Maybe if it didn't have such a girly name, he'd be all for it.

I normally like brighter colors, but out of these I think pale sunshine is a nice bet for the bathroom (it's not too yellow, the bf will be ok with it, in fact he'll probably think it's beige because men are colorblind, right?). I don't like pecan sandie and vintage taupe. Chamois cloth might be nice for a bedroom. For the office, I'd go with a yellow shade like banana cream or pale sunshine.

wsg - he actually is colorblind isn't that funny? but mostly with red/green shades. so no luck fooling him with this yellow decision.

angela- i'm digging your paint color name. you should definitely submit it to behr for review. lol.

i think i'm agreeing with the majority and if i can convince him we'll get pale sunshine for the bathroom and wild honey or chamois cloth for the office this weekend. i'll be a busy worker bee again :)

and clink i actually knew of someone who's job it was to come up with those names. isn't that funny? there's an entire profession dedicated to that! but what's weird is they come up with names first and then different people match the names with the colors. kind of bassackwards if you ask me.

I like Downy or Pale Sunshine for sure....I think I like Downy more because it has a better name.

so, hi. you must check out this site: www.kuler.adobe.com

as a graphic designer, you will be obsessed- you have to create a free login name, but its' so worth it....def. gives you tons of colors to play with- and might help you re: work if you don't already know about it!

oh, my two cents for the colors?

bathroom, pale sunshine- bedroom, wild honey. :)

ok, seriously stopping now. happy weekend!

I like the pensive sky for the doggie room!

All of those are so pretty, I have a hard time deciding. This is one reason why I decided to paint every room the same color at my house.

So, have you picked a color yet?

I've found that when you really start to enjoy painting (or remodeling in general), you must need more ventilation. ;) Those paint fumes can cause delirium. :)

Anyway...thanks for stopping by the blog, and I can't wait to check out more of your site!

I also sent you an email, which may or may not have been eaten by the spam folder. For some reason my emails are quite tasty. ;)
