So this weekend I was all excited to create a new masthead for my blog. You know, it's the nerdy graphic designer in me. I get it exactly how I want following some nifty PhotoShop tutorials from Dooce. It's all "Carrie Bradshaw-esque". Life is good.
Come in to work this morning to view NASTY! PURPLE! WEBSITE! WTF?
Remember designing for the web, Michelle? And how much it sucks? And how every monitor is different? Well, it was supposed to be pink, not purple. (OK how many of you reading this think I am completely loony right now and are thinking, "who cares?") I know, RIGHT?!
Old ugly purple... (that I thought was pink i.e. viewing on an old crappy monitor)
What I see as red... (which is probably pink to most i.e. viewing on a snazzy monitor like the law firm I work for can afford)

I actually used to work with a graphic designer in college who just realized on one of his projects that he was, in fact, colorblind. How weird is that?

I'd call the color Magenta. Maybe you should consult one of these color website [name that color or 140 named colors] to see how far off your monitor really is :D
